Please read these terms before using bgbazaar.ae (the “site”). By using the site you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
1. What this site is
Board Game Bazaar is a community noticeboard where people list their own second-hand board games and arrange to buy, sell and trade them with each other in person. It also runs occasional community events. It is run by Agnes, a private individual (“we”, “us”). It is not a shop, a marketplace operator or a registered business.
2. We are not part of any sale
We do not own, store, sell, buy, ship or deliver any games, and we do not take payments, deposits or commissions. Every sale, trade or other agreement is made directly and only between the buyer and the seller. We are not a party to it, we are not the seller’s agent, and we are not responsible for it.
3. Listings and prices
Listings are created and maintained by sellers. Prices are the sellers’ asking prices. We do not check or guarantee any listing, including the price, condition, completeness, authenticity, edition or availability of a game, or whether it is still for sale. Retail comparison prices are approximate information from public online sources, may be out of date and are not offers. A seller may mark a copy as “Reserved”; this is the seller’s own note and not a reservation made through the site.
4. Buying
Inspect any game before you pay for it. Meet in a safe, public place and don’t pay in advance for a game you haven’t seen. Games are second-hand and sold as seen. There are no warranties, refunds or returns through us. Payment, collection, delivery and any after-sale arrangements are for you and the seller to agree. Any dispute is between you and the seller.
5. Selling
Any account can list games once its email address is confirmed and it has a username and a WhatsApp number buyers can reach. If you list games, you confirm that you own them and are allowed to sell them, and that your listings are accurate and kept up to date (including marking games reserved, sold or removed). You are solely responsible for your listings, your sales and complying with any laws that apply to you. You must not list counterfeit, stolen, illegal, unsafe or misleading items. Photos you upload are public; do not include people or personal information. We may limit how many games an account lists at once.
6. Accounts and usernames
Give accurate details, keep your password private and don’t share your account. You are responsible for activity on your account, including when you sign in with Google or Apple. Your username is public: it must not impersonate anyone, mislead buyers, or be offensive, and we may change or remove a username that breaks this. Admin access is granted at our discretion and can be changed or removed at any time.
7. Requests and notifications
Game requests only show interest; they are not orders or reservations and nobody is obliged to list a requested game. Notifications and emails are a convenience and may be late or not arrive.
8. Acceptable use
Don’t misuse the site: no spam, false or misleading content, impersonation, harassment, automated scraping, attempts to break or overload the site, or use for any unlawful purpose. We may remove any listing, request or content, and suspend or close any account, at any time and without notice.
9. Content and names
Game names, cover images and descriptions belong to their respective owners and are shown only to identify the games. The site’s own design and content may not be copied without permission.
10. No warranty
The site is provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise that it will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted or error-free.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss, damage, injury or claim arising from your use of the site, any listing, any game, any sale, trade or meeting between users, or any information on the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version; continuing to use the site means you accept the updated terms.
13. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai.
